Naturalista Deployment Drive

While on Facebook, I watched the following Youtube video posted about a woman trying to gather hair products for our troops overseas. 

I NEVER thought about how hard it must be for natural women fighting a WAR!!  Who has time to even think about their hair, let alone research and find products which will work for them.  Please watch this video, and send in your haircare products . . .  or get them to me, and I will include them with my bunch!!  (kim@lovingmylocks.com)

Hurricane Irene

It has been a WHILE since my last post, and I apologize for that.  Hurricane Irene did a number on my house.  There was a tree that landed in the front of the house.  I could not even get out of my front door.  As a matter of fact, here is a picture of what it looked like when I opened my door.  Amazingly, the pot on the step did not move during the hurricane or when the tree fell!! 

Sadly another tree landed on the shed in the back yard.  This tree also took down half of the pole which held the transformer and provided power to my house, no power, no internet, no tv, no HOT showers, no hot food, no cold food/drinks . . . . .

8 evenings later, we are so happy to report that we have POWER!!  One major thing that made this experience a little better was that I did not need electricity to do my Sisterlocks!!
